Garmin POI Repeaters and IRLP
“POI” files or “Points of Interest” files contain location coordinates and descriptions for a list of locations. Many newer GPS models are able to use this data to show what’s nearby as you drive alone the roads and highways of the USA and Canada.
The best way to get started is to go to POI-Factory.com and sign up with an account. Here you will find alot of different POI files to choose from. You can contribute to the files also if you like.
Also you will need Garmin POI Loader which is free form Garmin.
